Airport Park Off-Leash Dog Park — 2501 61st St E, Minneapolis, MN, 55450
This off-leash dog park is located right by the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. There's plenty of room for your energetic dog to run and play. Take note that it sometimes gets muddy. And remember to bring poop bags with you — there are no waste stations provided. Even still, this park is a favorite among many locals. Your dog can run free, or you can take your pup for a walk around on a leash outside of the fence. There's plenty of room for everyone. Please note that this park does have some fencing but is not 100% fenced in.
Alimagnet Dog Park — 1200 Alimagnet Pkwy #2, Burnsville, MN 55337
Alimagnet Dog Park is a fully fenced, seven-acre haven for dogs to run and play off-leash. It features a pond where pups can splash around, and there's a separate area for smaller or shyer dogs. With well-maintained walking paths and plenty of open space, your furry friend will have a blast. The park also offers a heated shelter with seating for humans, making it comfortable year-round. Waste bags and trash cans are readily available, ensuring a clean environment for everyone.
Arlington-Arkwright Off-Leash Dog Park — 400 Arlington Ave E, St Paul, MN 55130
This 4-acre off-leash dog park is completely fenced-in with hills, lush green grass, and even some off-leash trails. There are waste stations and water bowls available, plus plenty of seating if you'd like to sit and relax while your pooch runs around. But make sure to bring your own water for your dog. While this dog park is technically in St. Paul, it's only a 16-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis. And with all the trails and open space, your dog will be totally worn out from all the fun.
Battle Creek Regional Park — 2300 Upper Afton Rd, Maplewood, MN 55119
Battle Creek Regional Park is also in the St. Paul area but is too cool not to mention. Only 18 minutes away from downtown Minneapolis, this 35-acre park is fenced-in, and is the largest dog park in the Twin Cities area. It contains a picnic pavilion, a children's playground, an aquatic center, an off-leash dog area, and even has some paved hiking trails. There are waste stations provided, but make sure to bring your own water. The trails are well-maintained, and there are wooded areas, open fields, and ponds. It's an excellent area for your dog to run and explore, or for both of you to take a rejuvenating hike through the woods.
Carlson Dog Park at Cedar Knoll Park — 2541 Nevada Ave, St Louis Park, MN 55426
There's plenty of trees for shade at Carlson Dog Park. This dog park is off-leash and completely fenced-in. With varied terrain and trails to hike and explore, your pups will have plenty to see, smell, and do. The city does require you to have a permit. But there's plenty of picnic tables and seating for you to rest while your canine runs off their extra energy.
Dog Park at Perry Park — 3700 New Brighton Rd, Arden Hills, MN 55112
The Dog Park at Perry Park was originally an old baseball field that has now turned into an official dog park. This area is off-leash and is completely fenced-in. It isn't as big as some of the other Minneapolis dog parks, but is still well-maintained and very grassy for your sweet pup to run around and play.
Franklin Terrace Off-Leash Dog Park — 925 Franklin Terrace, Minneapolis, MN 55406
This fenced-in off-leash dog park has wood chips throughout to help avoid the mud. It's quiet and peaceful with trees for shade. Water bowls are provided, but you'll need to bring your own water. And there are two parking lots for ample parking.
Lake of the Isles Dog Park — 2845 W Lake of the Isles Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55405
Lake of the Isles Dog Park has plenty of both shaded and open off-leash areas for your dog to run. This mulched dog park is well-maintained, and has a beautiful view of the lake! There are picnic tables and plenty of bench seating, plus water bowls available. Just make sure to bring your own water. The main area is fenced-in, and there is a separate fenced-in area within it for small dogs. And if you'd rather walk your dog on-leash, you can walk around the peaceful Lake of the Isles.
Lake Minnewashta Regional Park — 6900 Hazeltine Blvd, Excelsior, MN 55331
Lake Minnewashta Regional Park is a 340-acre park right on Lake Minnewashta. This park offers a children's playground, boat dock, picnic tables, volleyball court, and of course — a dog park! The 18-acre dog park is an off-leash area and is fenced-in. It also provides trails for you and your furry best friend to hike, plus a separate fenced-in area for the smaller pups. Parking permits are required — either daily or yearly — and can be purchased at the park entrance.
Lyndale Farmstead Off-Leash Dog Park — 3845 Dupont Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55409
This off-leash dog park is completely fenced-in. It's not too big, and has plenty of bench seating in the shade, so you can always see your dog wherever they are. This dog park's ground is covered in crushed granite. And they do not have a separate small dog area, but they do have free parking, waste stations, and it's usually less crowded than some of the other dog parks.
Loring Park Off-Leash Dog Park — 1650 Harmon Pl, Minneapolis, MN, 55403
This spacious park has a fenced-in, off-leash area, with plenty of green grassy areas for your dogs to run and play. There's plenty of shade from the trees, lots of walking trails and benches, and there's even a lake in the center of the park. Whether you want to walk around the main park or have your pup off-leash in the designated dog park area, there's plenty of room to roam and play.
Minnehaha Park Off-Leash Recreation Area — 5399 Minnehaha Park Dr S, Minneapolis, MN 55417
Minnehaha Park has a designated off-leash area for dogs. You can walk the trails through the woods and along the river, or walk along the beach shore. This giant park is the perfect place for a dog who wants to run free, swim in the water, and have fun in the mud. There's plenty of shade and gorgeous scenery to explore all day. You won't be disappointed!
Rice Creek Off-Leash Dog Area — 5959 Lexington Ave N, Shoreview, MN 55126
Rice Creek is a fully fenced-in off-leash dog park with 13 acres of green grassy land. There are also sandy areas, trees and awesome hiking paths! They also provide a water station for the dogs and restrooms for the humans. Rice Creek is a fun place to run around and play for the pup who doesn't mind getting a little dirty.
Anthony Parkway Off-Leash Dog Park — 700 St Anthony Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55418
This off-leash Minneapolis dog park is completely fenced-in. There are plenty of trees for shade, and the ground has mulch covering, but you'll have to bring your own water. It doesn't have the prettiest view being next to a rail yard, but the long shape makes it easy for dogs to run. Or you can walk your dog on the sidewalks.
Victory Prairie Off-Leash Recreation Area — 4701 Russell Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55412
This fenced-in, off-leash Minneapolis dog park is 2.5 acres. The large park is wide and open like a prairie, so there's plenty of room for dogs to run. There are picnic tables for the humans, mostly grass areas for the dogs, and some gravel paths for both. Waste stations and water bowls are provided, but you will have to bring your own water.

Although not in Minneapolis, Andy's Bark Park is a great off-leash dog park in nearby Woodbury! It offers a spacious and safe environment for dogs to run, play, and socialize with other dogs in a 70-acre area. The park features separate areas for small and large dogs, as well as agility equipment and water stations. With its friendly atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, Andy's Bark Park is a must-visit destination for any dog owner in the area. Please note that the entire park is not 100% fenced in.
Bryant Lake Dog Off-Leash Area — 6328 Rowland Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344
The pups of Eden Prairie are very lucky to have access to the Bryant Lake Dog Park! There are specific areas for large dogs and small dogs with water and double-gates. The entire 9 acres is fenced in too!
