The Bark Park of Alamo Heights — 103 La Jara Blvd, Alamo Heights, TX 78209
This favorite local dog park is located in Alamo Heights, near the baseball fields. It is very clean and well-maintained. And it has both grass and gravel ground coverings, plus a decent amount of shade trees around the outer edge. There is plenty of parking nearby. And there are separate fenced-in, off-leash areas for both large and small dogs. But the best part about this dog park is the water fountain where pups can splash and play on those hot summer days.

Eisenhower Park is a haven for dogs and their owners, offering a spacious area where pups can roam freely. The park features natural trails perfect for an adventurous walk with your furry friend. With plenty of shade and picnic spots, it's ideal for a family day out. The dog-friendly atmosphere is complemented by clean facilities and a welcoming community of dog lovers. Unique to Eisenhower Park is its observation tower, providing stunning views of the city — a reward for those who trek its trails.

Lady Bird Johnson Park is a 1.2-acre park with plenty of grass and dirt space for you and your pup to run and play. The park itself offers a community center, pool, skate park, and softball complex. McAllister Dog Park is a fun, off-leash dog area that is completely fenced-in with mulch ground covering. It is very clean and well-maintained. And it offers its guests benches, picnic tables, water stations, waste stations, and even canine agility equipment. The fenced-in area is for both large and small dogs, but they have 2.42 acres of space to run and play. McAllister Park also provides walking and biking trails, picnic pavilions, and outdoor fitness systems.
Nani Falcone Dog Park — 8716 Mystic Park, San Antonio, TX 78254
Nani Falcone Dog Park is a newer park in San Antonio. This park offers humans a skate park, playgrounds, and disc golf. And for dogs—there is plenty of space to run and roam, with lots of mature shade trees. The dog park has both small and large fenced-in, off-leash areas—plus canine agility equipment and large rocks for climbing. And if your dog wants to go for a stroll, you can take them on a leash to the walking trails outside of the dog park area.
New Territories Dog Park — 9023 Bowen, San Antonio, TX 78250
This dog park provides separate off-leash, fenced-in areas for both large and small dogs. The dog park is more than .25 acres with separate fenced-in areas for both small and large dogs to be off-leash. The open hours are from sunrise to sunset every day. And the New Territories Park offers humans a fitness station, swimming pool, tennis court, and walking trails.
Nomahegan Dog Park — 4700 Old Pearsall Rd, San Antonio, TX 78242
The Nomahegan Dog Park is a fenced-in, off-leash area for pooches to run and play. There are fire hydrants and waste stations for your pup. Nomahegan Dog Park is open from 5 am-11 pm daily. The Nomahegan Park also has newly renovated children’s playgrounds and walking paths where you can bring your on-leash dog for a stroll.
Panther Springs Park — 22635 Wilderness Oak, San Antonio, TX 78260
The Panther Springs Park has a 1.5-acre fenced-in, off-leash area for pups of all sizes to run and play together, plus a separate area just for small dogs. Pearsall Dog Park — 4700 Old Pearsall Road, San Antonio, TX 78242
The Pearsall Dog Park is a 1.5-acre fenced-in, off-leash area for dogs of any size to run and play together. There’s lots of grass, some shade trees, and they provide canine agility equipment. There’s also trash cans available, plus picnic tables and benches for the humans to sit and rest. In addition, the Pearsall Park offers disc golf, fitness stations, a very unique playground, a skate park, jogging/walking trails, a water park area, and they even have an “environmental sustainability commitment.”
Phil Hardberger Park East — 13203 Blanco Rd., San Antonio, TX 78216
The dog park at Phil Hardberger Park East is 1.8 acres in size and has separate fenced-in, off-leash areas for small and large dogs. “The small dog area includes a two-story doghouse donated by Lisa Hinson and family.” This park is open from sunrise to sunset and offers on-leash walking trails outside of the off-leash area.
